Day 1 – Arrive Siem Reap
On arrival in Siem Reap, gateway to the Angkor temple complex, you will be transferred, with a guide, to your hotel.
Stay four nights at the Somadevi Angkor Hotel & Spa (deluxe room) in Siem Reap.
Day 2 – Siem Reap
Tour Banteay Samre and Banteay Srei, the birthplace of Khmer classical style architecture. On the way back to the hotel, visit the enchanting Ta Phrom Temple which is enveloped by the roots of enormous fig trees. In the afternoon, explore magnificent Angkor Wat and remain at the site to view the sunset. (B)
Day 3 – Siem Reap
Further exploration of the Angkor complex includes visits to the South Gate of Angkor Thom and Bayon, Ba Phoun, the Elephant and Leper King Terraces and the Royal Palace area. Also browse at the Old Market. In the afternoon, visit the Rolous Group, including Preah Ko Bakong and Lolei. (B)
Day 4 – Siem Reap

Day 5 – Siem Reap – Saigon
Guided transfer to Siem Reap airport for your flight to Saigon. On arrival in Saigon, take a guided transfer to your hotel.
Stay three nights at the Grand Silverland Hotel & Spa (premier deluxe room), or the Liberty Central Saigon Centre Hotel (deluxe room) in Saigon. (B)
Day 6 – Saigon and Cu Chi Tunnels
A morning city tour of dynamic Saigon, officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City in 1976, takes in the former Presidential Palace, the Old Post Office, a walk around the outside of Notre Dame Cathedral and a visit to Ben Thanh Market. Lunch at Pho 24 Restaurant. Early afternoon, drive to Cu Chi to visit the incredible underground tunnel network built by the Vietnamese guerrilla fighters. (B,L)
Day 7 – Mekong Delta excursion
Full day visit to the watery world of Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. Take a boat trip to see stilt houses and fish farms and try exotic fruits in one of many orchards. Visit a local farmer on Turtle Island then board a sampan to glide along the narrow canals overhung with dense vegetation, stopping for a cup of honey tea and a folk song performance. A lunch of local delicacies is served in My Tho. (B,L)
Day 8 – Saigon – Danang – Hoi An
Transfer to Saigon airport for your flight to Danang. Transfer to Hoi An, stopping en route at the Marble Mountains. In Hoi An take a guided walking tour of the old town visiting former merchant’s houses, the 400 year old Japanese Covered Bridge and the market.
Stay four nights at the Vinh Hung Riverside Resort & Spa (superior room), or the Essence Hoi An Hotel & Spa (deluxe window room) in Hoi An. (B,L)
Day 9 – Hue day tour
In the morning take a 3-hour guided drive over the Pass of Mountain Clouds, past photogenic Lang Co Beach, to Hue. Visit the Imperial Citadel, the mausoleum of Emperor of Khai Dinh and Thien Mu Pagoda before the road transfer back to Hoi An through the Hai Van tunnels in late afternoon. (B,L)
Day 10 – Hoi An
A free day in Hoi An to soak up the atmosphere in the old town and perhaps visit one of the many tailors. (B)
Day 11 – Hoi An

Day 12 – Hoi An – Danang – Hanoi
Transfer to Danang airport for your flight to Hanoi. You will be met by your guide on arrival at Hanoi airport and transferred to your hotel. A water puppet show (1st class seating) is included this evening, including private guided return transfers.
Stay two nights at the Golden Lotus Luxury Hotel (lotus executive room), or the Essence Hanoi Hotel & Spa (deluxe room) in Hanoi. (B)
Day 13 – Hanoi
Full day Hanoi city tour including One Pillar Pagoda, Hanoi Hilton Prison and Museum of Ethnology. Lunch is at Koto Restaurant, an Australian funded establishment aimed at helping Hanoi street kids. Further sightseeing includes the Fine Arts Museum and the Temple of Literature. The day ends with a tour of the old quarter of 36 streets and 36 wares by cyclo. (B,L)
Day 14 – Hanoi – Halong Bay overnight cruise
A highlight of your visit to Vietnam is sure to be your overnight cruise on Halong Bay. In the morning take the cruise company’s group transfer (a journey of up to 4 hours), without guide, to Halong and on arrival board your boat for a cruise among the rocky limestone islands in the emerald waters of Halong Bay. Seafood lunch and dinner are served on board.
Stay overnight on the Glory Legend cruise boat (deluxe en-suite cabin) in Halong. (B,L,D)
Day 15 – Halong to Hanoi
Further cruising around Halong Bay this morning. Disembark at Halong and return to Hanoi by the cruise company’s group transfer, without guide.

Day 16 – Depart Hanoi
