Day 1 – Arrive Hanoi
On arrival in Hanoi meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.
Stay two nights at the Boss Legend Hotel in Hanoi.
Day 2 – Hanoi
Morning at leisure. Early afternoon take a short orientation tour of Hanoi by cyclo. Continue by minivan to visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Compound viewed from the outside (photo stop only), the Army Museum and Hanoi Hilton Prison. In the evening enjoy a traditional water puppet show, including guided return transfers. (B)
Day 3 – Hanoi – Halong Bay
A highlight of your visit to Vietnam is sure to be your overnight cruise on Halong Bay. In the morning take the cruise company’s group transfer (a journey of up to 4 hours), without-guide, to Halong, and on arrival board your wooden junk for a cruise among the rocky limestone islands in the emerald waters of Halong Bay. Enjoy some kayaking this afternoon. Seafood lunch and dinner are served on board.

Day 4 – Halong Bay – Hanoi
Further cruising around the bay. Disembark at Halong and take the cruise company’s group transfer, without-guide, back to Hanoi and your hotel.

Day 5 – Hanoi – Danang – Hoi An
Private transfer (vehicle with driver) to Hanoi airport for a late morning flight to Danang. On arrival at Danang airport take a private guided transfer to your hotel in Hoi An.
Stay three nights at the Sunrise Hoi An Beach Resort or Palm Garden Resort. (B)
Day 6 – Hoi An
A free day to enjoy the beach and soak up the village life. (B)
Day 7 – Cooking class
Make your own arrangements to arrive at Hai Café, the Red Bridge Cooking School’s meeting point by 8.15 am. Select fresh produce from the market before boarding a boat to cruise along the Thu Bon River to the cooking school for a hands-on culinary experience, preparing a feast for your lunch. Return to downtown where the balance of the day is at leisure. (B,L)
Day 8 – Hoi An – Saigon & Cu Chi Tunnels
In the morning take a private transfer, without guide, to Danang airport for your flight to Saigon. On arrival transfer directly, with a guide, to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Visit the incredible underground tunnel network built by Vietnamese guerrilla fighters. Also visit a rice paper making factory at Tan Phu Trung village before returning to Saigon in the afternoon.
Stay three nights at the Duxton Hotel in Saigon. (B)
Day 9 – Saigon
Morning at leisure. An afternoon tour of Saigon includes Notre Dame Cathedral viewed from the outside, the Old Post Office, the former Presidential Palace and the War Museum. (B)
Day 10 – Mekong Delta excursion
Full day visit to the watery world of Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. Take a boat trip to see stilt houses and fish farms and try exotic fruits in one of many orchards. Visit a local farmer on Turtle Island then board a sampan to glide along the narrow canals overhung with dense vegetation, stopping for a cup of honey tea and a folk song performance. A lunch of local delicacies is served in My Tho. (B,L)
Day 11 – Depart Saigon
Time at leisure before transferring, without guide, to the airport for your flight home. (B)
