On this six day tour, visit the capital Phnom Penh and journey to see the world’s greatest religious architectural monument - Angkor Wat.

Phnom Penh • Siem Reap  
  • Itinerary

    Day 1 – Arrive Phnom Penh
    Arrive in Phnom Penh and take a transfer (private vehicle with driver) to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Stay two nights at the Frangipani Royal Palace Hotel (deluxe room) or TEAV Boutique Hotel (Teav deluxe room) in downtown Phnom Penh.

    Day 2 – Phnom Penh
    In the morning enjoy a 30 minute cyclo ride through the bustling capital of Phnom Penh. Transfer to a motor vehicle for a day tour to visit the Central Market, Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom, with time to reflect on the Khmer Rouge legacy at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields.     Day 3 – Phnom Penh – Siem Reap
    Travel by road (private vehicle with driver) to Siem Reap, a journey of around five hours. Stop at Skun village en route to see the tarantula eaters! In the evening enjoy dinner and a show featuring a Khmer Apsara Dance performance. (Tue, Thu & Sat only in some months. Booking can be changed to another night if necessary.) Stay three nights at the Tara Angkor Hotel (superior room) or Saem Siem Reap Hotel (deluxe city view room) in Siem Reap. (B,D)

    Day 4 – Siem Reap
    In the morning visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the Bayon, and the Terraces of the Elephant and Leper King. Also visit the mystical Ta Prohm, unique for the overgrown roots of giant fig trees.Return to the hotel to rest before a mid-afternoon visit to further explore magnificent Angkor Wat and remain at the site to view the sunset over Angkor Wat. Transfer back to the hotel after the sunset viewing. (B)

    Day 5 – Tonle Sap Lake
    Travel to Chhong Kneas, a trading port of agricultural products on the edge of Tonle Sap Lake, also known as the Great Lake of Cambodia. Embark on a private local boat and set out on a Tonle Sap Lake adventure to discover the floating villages and some unique wildlife along the way. Enjoy a selection of soft drinks and beers during the cruise. Learn how communities live and work on the lake; see the floating schools, markets, police stations and observe daily life. Return to Siem Reap at midday. Afternoon at leisure. (B)

    Day 6 – Depart Siem Reap
    Leisure time until transfer to the airport (private vehicle with driver). (B)
