  • Itinerary

    Day 1 – Arrive Hanoi (Wednesday)
    Arrive Hanoi airport, meet your driver and transfer to your hotel. Stay one night at the Alisa Hotel & Spa (deluxe room) in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

    Day 2 – Hanoi – Halong
    Travel by the cruise company’s coach to Halong. On arrival board your boat for a cruise among the rocky limestone islands in the emerald waters of Halong Bay. Seafood lunch and dinner are served on board. Stay overnight on the Aclass Legend cruise boat (deluxe en-suite cabin). (B,L,D)

    Day 3 – Halong – Hanoi
    Further cruising around Halong Bay this morning, then return to Hanoi this afternoon. Stay one night at the Alisa Hotel & Spa. (B)
    Travel Tip: Every weekend, Friday to Sunday, 6pm until late, it is time for the Hanoi Night Market. Hang Dao Street, stretching from Hoan Kiem Lake to Dong Xuan Market, becomes a vehicle free pedestrian walkway full of stalls and street food.

    Day 4 – Hanoi – Lao Cai by overnight train
    A day at leisure. Leave your suitcase at the hotel and pack a soft sided, overnight bag for the trip to Sapa. This evening transfer to Hanoi railway station for the overnight train to Lao Cai in the north. Stay one night on the King Express Train (4 share sleeper cabin) (B)
    Optional Tour – afternoon Hanoi City Tour – $51 pp

    Day 5 – Lao Cai – Ba Ha Market – Sapa
    Disembark the train in Lao Cai early this morning and travel by road to Bac Ha to visit the colourful market of the Flower Hmong, Phu La and Dao Tuyen peoples. Continue by road to Sapa. Stay two nights at the Chau Long 2 Hotel (Run-Of-House room) in Sapa.

    Day 6 – Sapa
    A day at leisure. (B)
    Optional Tour – Ta Van excursion with trekking – $49 pp

    Day 7 – Sapa – Hanoi
    Morning at leisure. Return to Hanoi by road in a limousine minivan on a journey of around 5 hours. Stay one night at the Alisa Hotel & Spa. (B)

    Day 8 – Hanoi – Danang – Hoi An
    Fly to Danang today and transfer to Hoi An. Stay three nights at the Green Heaven Resort & Spa (Superior room) or Kiman Hoi An Hotel & Spa (Deluxe room) in downtown Hoi An. (B)

    Day 9 – Hoi An
    A day at leisure. (B)
    Optional Tour – Thuan Tinh Island Small Group Cooking Tour – $68 pp

    Day 10 – Hoi An
    A day at leisure. (B)

    Day 11 – Hoi An – Danang – Saigon
    Transfer back to Danang airport for the flight to Saigon, arriving early afternoon. Transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Stay three nights at the Alagon Central Hotel & Spa (deluxe window room – internal view). (B)

    Day 12 – Cu Chi Tunnels
    Morning at leisure. In the afternoon travel through the countryside to Cu Chi to explore the amazing underground tunnel system built by Vietnamese guerilla fighters during the war. Return to Saigon and arrive at your hotel early in the evening. (B)

    Day 13 – Saigon
    A day at leisure. (B)
    Optional Tour – Ben Tre Classic Day Excursion – $129 pp

    Day 14 – Saigon – Siem Reap
    Transfer to Saigon airport. (Tour concludes here for Vietnam Free & Easy) Fly to Siem Reap in Cambodia and stay three nights at the Royal Crown Hotel & Spa (deluxe room). (B)

    Day 15 – Siem Reap
    A full day guided tour of the Angkor temples. Tour the South Gate of Angkor Thom and Bayon, Ba Phoun, the Elephant and Leper King Terraces, the Royal Palace area and enchanting Ta Phrom Temple. After a break back at the hotel, continue on to magnificent Angkor Wat and remain at the site to view the sunset. (B)

    Day 16 – Siem Reap
    A day at leisure. (B)

    Day 17 – Depart Siem Reap
    A day at leisure before a transfer to the airport for exit flight. (B)
