    Day 1 – Arrive Yichang
You will be met on arrival at Yichang airport and transferred to the wharf to board your five star Yangtze River cruise ship. Settle in and become familiar with the ship’s facilities and sailing schedule (they may differ slightly to the cruise described below). Accommodation is in twin or double bedded cabins with en-suite and balcony. All meals, entertainment and shore excursions are included.
    Day 2 – Cruising
Visit the massive Three Gorges Dam – the largest engineering project of modern times. View first hand the complex lock systems used for moving large vessels up and downstream and gain some insight into the impact of this project on the nations’ economy and people. Sail through the first of the famous Three Gorges, Xiling Gorge. (B,L,D)
    Day 3 – Cruising
Board smaller boats for an excursion to the Lesser Three Gorges, or the Shennong Stream, depending on the cruise schedule. Be transported through twisting river vistas of towering cliffs and tumbling waters, interspersed with glimpses of farm life and small villages. Back on board your cruise ship, sail through the Wu and Qutang Gorges (B,L,D)
    Day 4 – Cruising
The shore excursion today is to the striking wooden structure on the cliff face at Shibaozhai, or perhaps the ‘Ghost City’ of Fengdu with its temple devoted to the king of the underworld.  (B,L,D)
    Day 5 – Chongqing
Your cruise ends with disembarkation at Chongqing this morning. You will be met at the wharf and transferred to the airport for your exit flight.  (B)
